Chopping Samples (video)

Take note about chopping to the drum. If there are drums. Chop the sample to the kick or the snare. you will make it easier on yourself when you are putting the sample together. This is really for producers starting out into sampling.

You can filter out kicks with some eqing or dropping the frequency in the sample.

And there is no right way to make a beat. Just keep doing what you feel. Think outside the box and be creative.

Doing the T-Pain effect (video)

I had this asked to me a few times. I haven't had as many people ask me since Jay-Z came out with Death of Autotune but here is a tutorial I found on how to do the T-Pain effect.

This guy does a good job in explaining it.

Adlibbing Vocals (video)

Studio Etiquette (video)

I will add a list to this but this is a good start

Recording rap chorus (video)

I agree with the stacking but I suggest doing even numbers.2,4,6. I say even because you should pan your vocals even. 1 ch 90% to the left 2 ch 90% to the right 3 ch 75% to the left 4 ch 75% to the right. This will make you chorus sound more full, wide and thick.
